🇫🇷 Le secrétaire général de la CGTP, Tiago Oliveira, a réaffirmé la position de la centrale syndicale face au rapport sur la soutenabilité de la Sécurité Sociale, attendu prochainement par le gouvernement : oui au débat sur de nouveaux modes de financement, non à toute forme de privatisation.
« Ce que nous n’accepterons pas, c’est que l’on remette en cause la Sécurité Sociale pour la transformer en système privé », a-t-il déclaré. La CGTP pointe également du doigt le choix de l’économiste Jorge Bravo pour diriger le groupe de travail, jugeant sa proximité avec les fonds de pension privés problématique.
La centrale syndicale rappelle que le Fonds de stabilisation financière de la Sécurité Sociale a atteint un nouveau record l’an dernier — preuve, selon elle, que le système public fonctionne et mérite d’être renforcé, pas affaibli.

🇬🇧 CGTP Secretary-General Tiago Oliveira has made the union’s position clear ahead of the government’s upcoming report on the sustainability of Portugal’s Social Security system: open to discussing new funding models, but firmly opposed to any move towards privatisation.
« What we will not accept is any attempt to undermine Social Security in order to turn it into a private system, » he stated. The CGTP also questioned the appointment of economist Jorge Bravo to lead the working group, citing his close ties to private pension funds.
The union points out that the Social Security Financial Stabilisation Fund hit a new record last year — proof, it argues, that the public system is working and deserves to be strengthened, not dismantled.
