🇫🇷 Le Français Alexis Guérin (Anicolor/Campicarn) a remporté ce dimanche le classement général du Tour du Portugal, au terme d’une édition marquée par un accident tragique. La dernière étape, disputée dans les rues de Porto, est revenue au Portugais Ivo Oliveira (UAE Emirates-XRG), vainqueur au sprint à domicile, mais c’est bien Guérin qui repart avec le maillot jaune final après avoir dominé une bonne partie de la course, remportant notamment deux étapes.
Cette 87e édition restera marquée par la mort du jeune coureur gallois Finlay Tarling, percuté par une camionnette alors qu’il roulait derrière le peloton lors de la 8e étape. La course avait rendu hommage au coureur de 19 ans dès le lendemain, avec une minute de silence avant le départ de l’étape suivante. Le Tour du Portugal, qui fêtera son centenaire en 2027, continue d’être l’une des courses les plus exigeantes du calendrier européen.

🇬🇧 French rider Alexis Guérin (Anicolor/Campicarn) won the overall classification of the Tour of Portugal this Sunday, at the end of an edition marked by tragedy. The final stage, raced through the streets of Porto, went to Portuguese rider Ivo Oliveira (UAE Emirates-XRG), who won the home sprint, but it was Guérin who took the overall yellow jersey after dominating much of the race, including two stage wins.
This 87th edition will be remembered for the death of young Welsh rider Finlay Tarling, who was struck by a van while riding behind the peloton during stage 8. The race paid tribute to the 19-year-old the following day, with a minute of silence before the start of the next stage. The Tour of Portugal, which will celebrate its centenary in 2027, remains one of the toughest races on the European calendar.
