🇬🇧 Festivals and Concerts: DECO Pushes for Stronger Laws to Protect Audiences
🇫🇷 La DECO, association portugaise de défense des consommateurs, tire la sonnette d’alarme : la loi sur les spectacles, en vigueur depuis 2014, ne protège plus suffisamment le public face aux annulations, changements de programme de dernière minute et arnaques à la billetterie en ligne.
L’association cite en exemple le festival Evil Live du 5 juillet à Lisbonne, où le concert des Megadeth a été annulé 25 minutes après l’heure prévue — sans remboursement automatique. Un cas loin d’être isolé selon la DECO, qui réclame des règles claires pour les festivals multi-scènes, l’obligation d’afficher le prix total dès le premier clic, et des sanctions financières renforcées contre les promoteurs et plateformes de revente indélicats.
La DECO a transmis ses propositions à la ministre de la Culture, Margarida Balseiro Lopes, et rappelle qu’elle avait déjà formulé des demandes similaires en 2019 — restées sans suite. Cette fois, elle entend bien obtenir des résultats.

🇬🇧 NOS Alive will return for its 19th edition on 8, 9 and 10 July 2027 at the Passeio Marítimo in Algés, Lisbon. The announcement was made, as tradition dictates, on the final evening of the festival, after three days that saw over 120 artists, bands and authors perform across eight stages in front of around 160,000 spectators.
The 2026 edition delivered some memorable moments: Twenty One Pilots and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds opened proceedings on night one, followed by the Foo Fighters and Skunk Anansie on night two. Florence + The Machine and Lorde closed the main stage, alongside the long-awaited return of Buraka Som Sistema — the iconic Portuguese group that brought kuduro to global dancefloors before going on hiatus in 2016. A new highlight this year was the Palco Literário (Literary Stage), hosting Portuguese writers including Valter Hugo Mãe and Pedro Chagas Freitas, hailed as a major win for Portuguese culture.
